Career

Mr. Vieth began his career as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting cases in Pinellas County. He served as a prosecutor for nearly 8 years and tried over 50 jury trials including, murder, sexual battery, exploitation, and scheme to defraud. Following his time with the State Attorney’s Office, he practiced with two small plaintiff’s firms in St. Petersburg before joining Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen in 2019.

PRACTICE DESCRIPTION

  • Mr. Vieth’s practice is focused on advising the central business offices and legal departments of large healthcare organizations on matters ranging from billing disputes, compliance, discharge issues, and peer review matters. He also represents guardians and guardian advocates in the administration of guardianship estates; he defends hospitals against allegations of medical malpractice and other institutional clients in contract and tort actions; and he represents corporations and partnerships in various forms of business litigation.
