PRACTICE DESCRIPTION

  • Tom began his legal career with the firm in 1986 and now serves as the Chairman of the firm’s Management Committee. Tom’s practice primarily involves real estate and business transactions. He regularly represents clients relating to the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial properties in Florida and throughout the southeast, with an emphasis on multi-family and shopping center transactions. Tom has had the pleasure of counseling many family-owned businesses in the formation, planning, growth and ultimate disposition of the enterprise to public companies and private equity firms. Tom is the past chairman of the Morton Plant Mease Foundation (a foundation with well over $100,000,000 in assets serving Morton Plant Hospital) and has served on the Board of Trustees of Morton Plant Mease Hospital, a facility which is consistently ranked as one of the best hospitals in America. Tom is also a Rotarian and serves as general legal counsel for the area Boy Scouts of America.
