Taylor, Ashley Color LRAshley Taylor has been elected to Shareholder at Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen.  After graduation from the University of Florida and Southern Methodist University, Ms. Taylor joined the Firm and began her law practice in the area of civil litigation.  Currently focusing her practice in Family Law, she assists clients with domestic disputes, separation, divorce and custody matters.  Ashley is also a member of 2016 Hillsborough County Bar Association Leadership Institute.  Congratulations Ashley!!

Aungst Appointed to Juvenile Welfare Board

Brian J. Aungst, Jr. has been appointed as Vice Chair of the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County (JWB).  Brian was named to the JWB Board as a gubernatorial appointment in 2011.

Hugh Macfarlane Honored

Hugh MacfarlaneHugh C. Macfarlane, a founding member of Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen in 1884 has been honored by Friends of the Riverwalk as a Historical Monument Trail 2014 Honoree.  Mr. Macfarlane was the first City Attorney for the City of Tampa and instrumental in the development of West Tampa into the 5th largest city in Florida, before being annexed into the City of Tampa in 1925.

In what is already serving as a source of pride for the Tampa community, the Historic Trail uses busts, statues and monuments to educate the public about significant events and noteworthy people that have shaped the history of Tampa and Hillsborough County.  There are currently 18 honorees along the trail with these latest additions.

Josh Magidson – Stetson Hall of Fame Inductee

Josh Magidson was inducted into the Stetson University College of Law’s Hall of Fame on November 1, 2014.  Josh was recognized for his many contributions to the success and growth of the College of Law.  His passion to provide opportunities for students to serve their community and broaden their view of the legal community is illustrated in his service to the University, through the Board of Overseers and as an Adjunct Professor.  Congratulations Josh!!!

Aungst Recognized for Clearwater Economic Advancement

Brian J. Aungst has been recognized by the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce as a recipient of their Economic Advancement Business of the Year award for his work related to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Brian was lead counsel for the aquarium in its effort to build a new state-of-the-art aquarium in downtown Clearwater.
