Concentrating his practice in the areas of health care law, medical malpractice defense, land use, zoning, governmental, and administrative approvals, consumer collection claims, labor and employment law, and commercial litigation, Mr. Aungst has extensive experience representing large health care systems and medical providers. He has provided representation for BayCare Health System, All Children’s Hospital, and community institutions such as the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Mr. Aungst also has extensive experience representing clients before governmental entities such as the City of Clearwater and Pinellas County in the areas of land use, zoning, development review, and code enforcement.
A resident of Clearwater since 1988, Mr. Aungst is an active participant in the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, having served as legal counsel and past Chairman, the YMCA of the Suncoast, and First United Methodist Church of Clearwater. Brian also serves the citizens of Pinellas County and the Sixth Judicial Circuit as a gubernatorial appointee to the Juvenile Welfare Board and the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
