Andrew B. Sasso has received the honor of the Ralph Richards Award by the Clearwater Bar Association in recognition of his service to the legal profession and our community. The Ralph Richards Award is presented to a member of the Clearwater Bar Association who demonstrates an extraordinary sense of care, dedication, concern and service to both the legal profession and the community at large as exemplified by the late Ralph Richards.

The Barney Masterson American Inn of Court has awarded Joshua Magidson “The Barney” for 2016. The Barney is awarded annually to the lawyer who demonstrates the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, civility and legal excellence in the practice of law.
The Barney Masterson American Inn of Court was formed in Pinellas County in 1988 by judges and lawyers seeking to improve the skills, the professionalism, and the legal ethics with which the bench and the bar perform their duties.
Mr. Magidson is a Shareholder with Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen and focuses his practice primarily in the areas of Business Litigation and Real Estate Litigation. He is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and currently serves as its Chairman of the Board of Overseers.

Ashley Taylor has been elected to Shareholder at Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen. After graduation from the University of Florida and Southern Methodist University, Ms. Taylor joined the Firm and began her law practice in the area of civil litigation. Currently focusing her practice in Family Law, she assists clients with domestic disputes, separation, divorce and custody matters. Ashley is also a member of 2016 Hillsborough County Bar Association Leadership Institute. Congratulations Ashley!!
Congratulations to Brian J. Aungst, Jr. on installation as the Chairman of the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce at the recent 95th Annual Meeting of the Chamber. Brian was elected as a Shareholder with the Firm in 2014 and focuses his practice primarily in the areas of Administrative, Governmental and Business Litigation. Dedicated to the Clearwater community since his youth, Brian currently serves in leadership positions with various organizations, including the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, consistent with his commitment to serve the community and its citizens. Hugh C. Macfarlane, a founding member of Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen in 1884 has been honored by Friends of the Riverwalk as a Historical Monument Trail 2014 Honoree. Mr. Macfarlane was the first City Attorney for the City of Tampa and instrumental in the development of West Tampa into the 5th largest city in Florida, before being annexed into the City of Tampa in 1925.
In what is already serving as a source of pride for the Tampa community, the Historic Trail uses busts, statues and monuments to educate the public about significant events and noteworthy people that have shaped the history of Tampa and Hillsborough County. There are currently 18 honorees along the trail with these latest additions.
Brian J. Aungst has been recognized by the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce as a recipient of their Economic Advancement Business of the Year award for his work related to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Brian was lead counsel for the aquarium in its effort to build a new state-of-the-art aquarium in downtown Clearwater.
Andrew M. Brown has been inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA membership is by invitation only, requiring significant jury trial experience as lead counsel among its member qualifications.
James A. Martin was officially elected by the National Board of Directors to membership in the American Board Of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Tampa Bay Chapter of ABOTA.
